Elderly Christian Father
Psalm 23:6
"Your husband, Father meant much more to you
Than words can ever say.
And those who know you realize
The loss you bear today.
But made it somehow comfort you
Throughout the days to be
To know your dear one will live on
In heaven for all eternity."

Words never come easily when we share the sorrow of a family and try to describe the memory of a cherished friend.
Brother (name) has written his own epitaph before our eyes.
We cannot think of this Christian friend without thinking of his family.
His family was the pride of his life.
Blessed is that man whose steps honor the Lord, whose family honors him,
whose neighbors believe in him, whose friends respect him -- and all who knew him will greatly miss him.
The lingering influence of his life points us to the glorious sunrise of his entrance into heaven.
"This old life is filled with sorrows,
Filled with heartaches, pains and fears
Here we have our disappointments,
Cheeks are lined with bitter tears.
But our Father, God in heaven,
Longs to help us overcome,
Then when this short life is ended,
He will take us safely home."

Jesus stood by the grave of Lazarus and cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." (John 11: 43)
Then, He instructed those who stood by to loose him from the burial clothes.
On Monday, Jesus stood by the bed of this saint of God and called him forth.
And our Lord with compassionate mercy, quietly, but with divine authority, instructed His angels to come
and loose Brother (name), and bring him home.
And God has promised that when we go home to Him, He shall wipe away all tears from our eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither shall there be any more pain." (Revelation 21: 4)
It is human for us to sorrow over the separation that has come, but our Lord provides divine comfort
of which Brother (name) is now enjoying.
